Dream Weaver is a fully immersive ASMR suggestive sleep series.
So many people struggle with sleep, and stress is a common factor not only in daily living, but in the process of falling asleep. It is for this reason that I chose to do a soft spoken and suggestive sleep induction accompanied by delta wave binaural beats and accompanying soundFX to go along with the story for a fully immersive 3D sound experience.
What is ASMR? ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response which is known for its tingling sensation in the scalp, spine, and neck; not to be confused with generalized chills. ASMR can produce these tingles in waves or pulses and they can even go down your arms or legs. You’ve probably seen people crunching food or whispering on YouTube and calling it ASMR, but most of these instances are poor representations. Not everyone has the same trigger, but many people are soothed by similar things. ASMR can cause temporary euphoria, pain and stress relief, and boost your mood but these benefits are short lived. That’s where the binaural beats come in.
What are binaural beats and how do they work? Simply put: Bi = 2, binaural is referring to listening to the music with BOTH ears. When we listen to binaural beats, we are hearing music through both ears at different frequencies. Hearing these two frequencies simultaneously triggers a physiological response which causes the brain to percieve a third tone. Our brains detect a mathematical difference and produce brainwaves at the perceived frequency (Hz) in a process called “frequency following response.” This will only work through headphones because the frequencies must be heard simultaneously and without interference.
Why did I choose delta waves for Dream Weaver Series? The delta wave binaural beats were created using frequencies ranging from 1-4 Hz which is meant to mimic the zone most commonly associated with deep sleep. While there are more cycles, this is the cycle that is most known for healing as it releases Human Growth Hormone (HGH), DHEA, and melatonin which has been known to lower cortisol (the stress hormone that is linked to belly fat, cellular death, and aging). This state can also allow freedom from ego which is why it is so important and also why some feel so disoriented or irritable when they are woken up in this state. The more you listen, the more easily you can enter into this state because your brain will train itself by forming the necessary pathways. In essence, you will teach yourself how to quiet your mind, relax your body, and have a restful sleep. My gift to you is an added infusion of inspirational magic.
It is hugely important to have healthy wake/sleep cycles, so when you aren’t sleeping or aren’t sleeping well, you will be off balance and your health will decline. It may be worth a shot if you are having trouble in any of these areas to give this a try.
